Vintage 1910's Crested China "Cat & Rabbit in Boots" Figurine (Blackpool Crest)

£28.00

spectacularly rare and delightfully quirky slice of classic British seaside memorabilia. This antique crested china miniature novelty figurine features a charming molded cat and long-eared rabbit sitting snugly together inside a pair of tall riding boots, proudly showcasing the full color, historic heraldic coat of arms and "Progress" motto ribbon for the famous resort town of Blackpool.

Dating to the golden era of the British seaside holiday boom (circa 1910s–1920s). The unglazed base sole reveals an authentic incised factory mold number "389" stamped into the porcelain. Double-animal novelty shapes like this were premium souvenirs sold along the Blackpool piers to Edwardian day-trippers looking for whimsical mantelpiece display curiosities. It weighs 37g, its measurements are 2cm width, 4.5cm length, and 8.5cm height. In excellent vintage/antique condition, free of any chips, cracks, flea bites, or repairs.

While basic souvenir cups and pots are easy to find, complex novelty combinations featuring two different animals inside footwear are highly sought-after rarities in the crested ware market. An absolutely top-tier addition to any antique curio cabinet, novelty figurine collection, or Lancashire local history archive. Collectible, Collector's item.
