Rare 1968 Vintage "Bourne" Pink Torso Trick Puzzle Mug – Functional Gimmick Variant
£38.00
While decorative versions of this late-1960s "saucy" female torso mug occasionally pop up, this specific piece is an incredibly hard-to-find functional trick variant.Crafted with the traditional spirit of British puzzle jugs and novelty barware, this mug features physically molded holes directly through the tips of the front anatomical details that connect straight into the main reservoir. When you tilt the jug to pour or drink from the main top opening, liquid will stream straight out of the front points—unless you explicitly plug or "pinch" the tips with your fingers to control the airflow and break the stream. It makes for an incredible conversational party piece, bar display, or active joke mug. Fully stamped on the base with BOURNE / REG No 935 560. The British Design Registration sequence officially dates this specific mold layout to late 1968 / early 1969. It weighs 174g, its measurements are 8cm at its widest, 7.5 cm depth, an d 11cm height. In excellent vintage condition, features a beautiful glossy pastel pink glaze with light, authentic age-related shelf wear on the base rim that proves its mid-century heritage. No chips or cracks. Perfect for collectors of British pottery, retro barware, rare puzzle jugs, or anyone looking for a cheeky, genuinely functional piece of 1960s pop-culture history. Collectible, Collector's Item.
